Foothill Technology High School was established in 2000. Located on Day Road in Ventura, California, FTHS is a health, science and technology magnet school. Entrance is conducted by a lottery system.

FTHS is known for its academics. In 2019, Foothill was recognized by U.S. News and World Report for ranking in the top 1% out of the approximately 31,000 high schools in America and ranking as the #88 magnet high school in the nation and the top overall high school in Ventura County.

FTHS has approximately 1000 students and runs on a modified block schedule. FTHS offers many excellent programs including ASB, Athletics, Bioscience, D Tech, Drama, Journalism, Renaissance, Speech and Debate, and Yearbook.
Staff
Staff

Affectionately known on campus as the "staffulty" the staff at FTHS is comprised of three administrators, three counselors, 20 classified support staff, about 40 teachers and everyone's favorite, our certified therapy dog, Oden. The staffulty at FTHS is committed to providing the best experience possible for our students
Athletics
Foothill Tech Dragons

Student-athletes have the opportunity to compete in 11 different sports at Foothill. In the first five years of competition, Foothill athletic teams won 36 league championships, three CIF Team Championships, one CIF Individual Championship, and three CIF State Championships.

To this date, The Foothill Dragon Press has won numerous national awards from the National Scholastic Press Association and Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
