CIF-SS has announced changes to the 2020-21 high school sports schedules due to COVID-19. Three seasons of sport have been condensed into two seasons, with the new "Fall" season (cross country, B/G volleyball, and B/G water polo) beginning in December/January and the remaining sports scheduled in the new "Spring" season beginning in February/March (Baseball, Softball, B/G Basketball, B/G Soccer, B/G Golf, B/G Tennis, Swim/Dive, Track & Field). Update: In Dec. 2020, CIF moved Boys Volleyball back to the spring season.
Permitted Youth & Recreational Adult Sports by County Tier
- Physical conditioning, practice, skill-building, and training that can be conducted outdoors, with 6 feet of physical distancing, and within stable cohorts are authorized regardless of county tier status. Such activities may be conducted indoors consistent with restrictions by Tier in the Gym & Fitness Center Guidance Capacity.
